Helping seniors move: Part one

Technically, we spent most of yesterday helping my parents pack up some of their crap. Next Saturday is when the “big move” comes. We’ll head back down to my little home town (Wheatley) — when I moved they had to change the population sign ;) — to help load up a truck and a small trailer.

I thought they would have been further along in their packing but apparently not. They seem more concerned with finding a “home” for all the stuff they either don’t want or can’t fit into their new apartment. Mom had been nagging Dad about sorting through his clothes to get rid of stuff he can’t wear, meanwhile it’s her clothing that takes up most of the closet space — with lots of clothes that don’t fit her either.

Hmmm…sounds like our place. :)

LOL — you are right, of course. But I don't really mind — maybe helping them relieves a guilty conscience or something. ;)
