LOL!
There's a real war on squirrels going on in the UK right now. Have you seen these:

Ha — but does it taste like chicken?
What a laugh though — squirrel genocide — it sounds like a term somebody from PETA would have thought up. I mean, I love wildlife too, but that's just silly.
What a joke, eh?
As to how it tastes: I hope I never have to find out!!!
I miss my squirrels. I had so many when I lived in the old hood. I had a tree that literally grew into my porch, and they would wait for me to put food in the crotch of the trunk everyday. I had them so they would eat out of my hand. I have two terriers now, a westie and a cairn. Squirrels and terriers just can't seem to get along. I do get great enjoyment out of watching the squirrels tease the terriers, as they sit on the fence and throw peanut shells at my dogs.
I know what you mean — it was nothing to see a dozen or more squirrels at any one time in our backyard in the old neighbourhood. But now, we only have a couple of squirrels here. You'd think there would be more considering the "nuts" that live here.
