Actually what Anita Dunn said was this:
“I think what is fair to say about FOX and certainly the way we view it is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party…[When President Obama] goes on FOX, he understands that he is not going on — it really is not a news network at this point. He’s going to debate the opposition.”
But the real gem from this pathetic whiner is: “But let’s not pretend they’re a news network the way CNN is.”
A news network like CNN?! I guess Dunn missed Wolf Blitzer’s fact-check segment on an SNL skit. Jon Stewart’s parody of CNN’s fact-checking was hilarious. See: Jon Stewart skewers CNN’s fact-checking. The only thing missing from that YouTube video was the ending “commentary” calling CNN a bunch of “goat-fu**ers.” If you want to see the entire thing — from October 12th — watch him here, or in Canada: here.
I have to agree that FOX is nothing like CNN. I have yet to see FOX produce a serious news segment where they fact-check a comedy show. But I guess CNN is selective about what comedy they fact-check. I never saw them “verify” any SNL skits about Bush or Palin. I mean, Sarah Palin never said “I can see Russia from my house.” Where was CNN then? Still, I’m not certain they’re goat-fu**kers — ass-kissers yes!
As for the Obama administration…
Chris Wallace says “They are the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington.”
And even Kirsten Powers, who voted for Obama, tells the White House and Obama to “grow up.”

Do you need a more stark demonstration that Lexus-Liberalism is a licence to commit pathological hypocrisy with a straight face?
There’s doubt CNN is the propaganda arm of the DNC? That’s OK but Fox openly taking an opposite stand as a voice for Republicans is somehow ‘bad’.
I love this morbid Lefty spin that any debate or critical analysis or dissent of their whacky, ill concieved, self-destructive faddish agendas is somehow unAmerican, or criminal. In the breast of each Lexus-drivin’ Liberal air head, beasts the shriveled heart of a despotic conformist.
This is also a alarming display of the unhealthy manipulative partisan theatrics the media keeps us entertained with while the establishment parties continue to converge on an anti-democratic statist global governance agenda and in operational mode show little or no divergence in core policy – to build larger, more potent liberty-killing government which acts a locall wing of an unelected global governing cabal.
Speaking of little difference in national governing parties; how’s about that Harper guy buying into cap and trade in Copenhagen eh? Now he wants to do whatever Obama does. Matters not that we have seen this fail in Europe and hamstring productivity while dong nothing for the environment. This from the man that denounced Koyoto as a economically disastrous UN taxing scheme. Pffffttt there’s no difference between parties at the national level, it’s all about doing as you are told to propel a global taxing and governing agenda. The Media does the BS marketing to divert our attention from this.
FOX responded by saying that the White House mixes up news with opinion programming, but Dunn seemed clueless. And even some of Obama’s supporters are seeing his administration as a bunch of crybabies.
It’s very telling that it seems to be only Democrats (modern liberals) in the U. S. that are interested in bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. Reagan vetoed the Democratically-controlled congress that wanted to make the doctrine law. Bush senior prevented another attempt to make it law by threatening a veto. Funny how the right-wing Republican party is all about protecting freedom — like freedom of speech — while the Dems seem determined to muzzle and control people.
Has anyone noticed that this speech or “homily” appears to take place at a podium of a church? She admires Mao “The Bringer of Death” and Mother Theresa who comforted those who died alone, without family and friends. Now there is an juxtaposition for the mental health professionals. Excessive lip licking is probably a symptom of dementia. The woman is certifiable. To really be nasty, Mao was rumored to practice cannibalism – maybe she was imitating his food fetish. Cheers.
I don’t understand why people are freaking out over those comments. Since when is noting that Fox News is biased anything other than an accurate comment? Do you not think that Fox News is biased?
FOX News? No. FOX opinion programs — yes, but so what? They’re opinion — like editorials in a newspaper.
As for “freaking out” — who’s freaking out? I think it’s laughable. Dunn says FOX isn’t a news network like CNN — that was a hoot! CNN — the news network that fact-checks SNL comedy skits. CNN is as big a laughing stock as the New York Times — they’re too busy to cover the actual news like the Van Jones story, ACORN, Anita Dunn, etc. It’s FOX News that’s covered all that and more.
Of course, some people prefer to keep their blinders on and only allow themselves to see and hear what the truly biased MSM decides is worthy of reporting.
If you are so disconnected from reality as to think that Fox News isn’t biased, then that is going to be a bit of a conversation stopper. I would understand the position that you know Fox News is biased, but you agree with the bias, so you still like what they’re doing. But to deny their bias is absurd.
Well, since you are an expert on FOX News bias, there must me numerous examples. Provide me one.
This is probably a decent place to start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_News_Channel_controversies
Here are a few of clips because you are a fan of Stewart and its more fun anyways: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1238321/fox_news_on_the_daily_show_biased/
http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart/correspondents/john-oliver/#clip223756
http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart/headlines/#clip133635
And an article where Stewart calls Fox News “an appendage of the Republican Party.”: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/25/AR2008082502186.html
Actually, I’m not a fan of Stewart — he’s too left-leaning for me, plus his appeal is to a younger crowd — but once in a while he has some things that entertain me. Like his criticism of the MSM’s failure to report ACORN; CNN fact-checking a comedy show, etc.
The Wikipedia source contains much fabricated information, but then I expect as much from that source. Example: 9/12 newspaper ad controversy (this was NOT widely reported by most MSM sources other than FOX — those that did report it greatly downplayed it — and Stewart poked fun at that too); the supposed advertiser boycott of Glenn Beck’s program — Wikipedia’s statement is an outright lie perpetrated by groups like Color of Change (Read: Glenn Beck boycott falters, despite liberal media claims.)
And if you’re relying on groups like Media Matters (the so-called media watchdog group) for your “unbiased” view of where media bias actually lies, you’re again being very naive. Read: Media Matters fundraising email bashes Glenn Beck, supports ACORN and follow the link in that story to this WaPo article: Not Far From the Tree — ACORN and Its Political Seed.
By far, most of the bias comes from the left — the ones who run CNN, MSNBC, ABC (All Barack Channel), NY Times, etc.
As someone said recently, “The media is supposed to be the watchdog of the government, not the lapdog.” Their legs should be “tingling” in response to uncovering a juicy news story, not in blind idol worship.
Ok, so just for clarity: you’re of the opinion that Fox News plays it straight, and everyone else has a left-leaning bias. Did I get you right?
Yep, pretty much. Bye now.
