Have you seen this SUV driver?

From a parking lot in Thornhill, Ontario. Don’t park near this person:

Hit and run is a felony – I can’t believe the cops wouldnt be interested in this. Thankfully nobody was in those cars.

I suppose it’s because there were no injuries. Had anyone been in those cars and been hurt it would be a different story. Hubby here thinks there should be charges — I think that person should lose their licence (they scare me). What was wrong with the person? Was he or she drunk?

We once had our car vandalized in our own driveway. We heard a loud smash and went running to see what happened. The group of kids (teens) that did the damage were just disappearing around the corner, and there were witnesses who saw them do it. The cops REFUSED to come. My husband walked down to the corner (to a busier street) and waited until he saw a cop car, then jumped in front of it. They filed a brief report; didn’t want a description of the perps. Basically, they didn’t give a damn. Their attitude was that we should have just gone to the Accident Reporting Centre — even though it wasn’t an “accident” — it was malicious damage.

That’s my brother-in-law’s brother’s car that gets crunched.

The video is amusing/disturbing, but Todd is stuck with an undriveable car.

He had just (just!) paid it off and now he’s stuck dealing with his insurance company only ’cause they couldn’t get the plates of the BMW SUV. I hope the BMW driver gets a spine and a conscience and reports it and claims responsibility.

Oh, man, I’m sorry! I guess the security video quality couldn’t be blown up to see? Or were there no witnesses at all? I hope they catch that person, because he/she should not be driving.

My hubby once saw an elderly woman play demolition derby on 5 vehicles in a parking lot. He and 4 other witnesses all got the licence number and reported it. They were all kind of in shock — they couldn’t believe someone could do that and just drive off.

Todd (my bro-in-law’s bro) just said that the BMW SUV in question was found and the cops have been called.

Apparently the cops can’t do much because it was in a private lot, but the insurance company will definitely get the guy.

Excellent news! I understand about the private property issue, but the amount of damage that was done and the fact that the driver left the scene of the accident should be enough for the cops to have grounds to act. What if the driver hit a person in a private lot? Cops would definitely charge them.

I assume their insurance company will see this video. I wouldn’t want to insure someone like that. Someone who’s that bad a driver should not have a licence.

That was good. Powerful little bitch of a truck. I would like to get me one of them.

Tsk, tsk — I hope not for that purpose.

Just thought I’d finish up this post by saying that the good folks at Hyundai Canada gave (gave!) Todd a brand new Elantra to replace the one that Gravedigger crunched.

The 62-yr old BMW X5 lady is (hopefully) going to feel the switch of justice and Todd gets a brand new car without having to go the insurance route and a heckuva good story to tell for years to come.

Excellent news! Plus it’s good PR for Hyundai. Somehow, I just knew it was a woman driver.
