Compare Obama vs other world leaders greeting the Emperor of Japan

These are some must-see photos from HotAirPundit. And the video here.

From Michelle Malkin: President O-bow-ma

First, the Saudi King. Now, the Japanese Emperor. What’s he going to do with Russian President Medvedev on Sunday — the downward-facing dog yoga pose?

I think people expect too much from Obama. Anyone who sits through more than two decades of hate sermons from the Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright — a man he called his spiritual mentor — well, what would you expect? Obama hates everything America has stood for, and he goes around bowing and scraping to the rest of the world in constant apology mode.

America, you are so screwed.

Way cool! He grovels like a coolie as reflex when he sees a Oriental person. :-) …doofus. Probably bows to the waiters at his local Chinese restaurant too. Culturally confused and not ready for prime time.

It is pretty funny isn’t it. Say, maybe he just lost a contact lens and was looking for it. ;)

I can’t stand obama, I am not racist, I just have eyes that can see and ears that can hear what he is up to, he said he would not raise taxes if people voted for him, well kerthud people live in tent cities… tent cities… what is going on down there, is that country being held Hostage by some covetted coup hiding under the oval office ? All that trash talk of terrorism, when the actual terrorists come from the … upper classed elites.. robbing from their own people ..shame on them, and now that he is their ruler, then he best look into that story on the 9/11 as everyone is saying, and I am now tending to lean towards their opinions that maybe it was an Inside Job…. with all the high rates of crime in north and south america, they are waiting and hoping the dumbed down people will beg for martial law….. wake up people, he is just a sheep in a taller body, same as most of the puppets who strutt the strutt…

This posting is about Obama’s low bow — I don’t know what you’re on about.

As for your Troother 9/11 nonsense — Peddle it elsewhere; we don’t do crazy here.

FYI: Nidal Hasan acted on his Islamist belief as did the 19 Arab-Muslim terrorists on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.

It’s fine for the POTUS to bow, but it should be about 10 or 15 degrees. That’s how people of equal rank show respect. To bow deeper than this a sign of subservience and lower rank.

Obama’s handlers need a kick in the arse. He should be better prepped than that.

Actually a bow isn’t necessary at all, but yes Obama’s was way over the top. I think his handlers are all a useless bunch.

Out of 47 world leaders greeting Japan’s emperor — 46 handshakes and 1 bow.

A bow is definitely not necessary. It is, however, a nice touch given the Emporer’s age. But do it competently. Don’t make some insulting western caricature of a bow.

“caricature” — that’s an excellent description of it. And to me it just seems like another example of Obama making a mockery of the office of the POTUS.

Funny, I keep hearing that the west fought and won WWII so that we and our leaders would not have to bow to japs. I guess Harvard didn’t tell Obama that piece of news, or he was too busy readying his Marxist text books at the time.

Did you also note Big O’s duck and cover routine when asked whether he thought dropping the A-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the right decision.

He’s a rube.

You’d think, though, that somebody at the WH could have told him it’s improper to bow and scrape like that when you’re the POTUS. Sheesh. Especially after that bow to the Saudi king.

Love the tamarak trees on your header. I didn’t have my camera three weeks ago comeing back from the cabin that I was working at. The tamarak were a brilliant yellow on that trip.

Thank you for that! It’s a D’oh moment for me, because I didn’t know what those trees were called (I’m a city slicker). I always meant to ask someone, but forgot. It confused me to see them turn yellow — I thought all conifers kept their green colour and their needles (dumb, I know).

That photo was actually taken a couple of years ago right within London, Ontario city limits at the Sifton Bog.
