London’s Transit union president calls off his dogs

Well, well. Pat Hunniford, president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 741, has announced that he and his fellow Bolsheviks will not picket UWO after all. How “big” of him!

Members of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 741 met yesterday and decided they didn’t want to create more problems for students, said union president Pat Hunniford.

Just yesterday his union referred to the university’s shuttle service as a “strike-breaking” activity. When their misinformation campaign was exposed by the university – the Transit Union knew about and approved of UWO’s shuttle service before the strike even began — Hunniford was forced to back down.

Gee, I guess it’s hard to make things up when somebody’s keeping track of the truth, and they’re not afraid to share it.

Let city hall know your feelings: Mayor, Council Members.
