Feeling pissy today, out of sorts. Also working on an instruction booklet — yawn. So, I thought I’d listen to some Jesse Cook and pretend my life is not as dull as it really is.

Jesse Cook – Totally awesome. Met him at a meet & greet in Kitchener. Great guy.

Sophie Milman doing “Bye Bye Love” live. I think I like her jazz version even better than the original.

He is really good! Have to get some of his stuff. For a change of pace go back to You Tube and give a listen to Sophie Milman. She is Russian via Israel now Canadian working out of Toronto and super good. I have 30 of her songs on my iPod. My fav song there is an old Everly Bros song Bye Bye Love. It will surprise you how good it sounds as a jazz song.

I’ve enjoyed Jesse Cook for a number of years — I saw him when he played Centennial Hall here back in (I think) about 2003. He had a new CD out in Sept. Thanks for the tip about Sophie Milman — I’ll look her stuff up.
