Iggy — or @M_Ignatieff on Twitter — spoke at Laval University a little over an hour ago. This is what he said about Climate Change™:
I would like to see Canada fighting for a firm international agreement to reduce carbon pollution, based on scientific facts. And the science tells us that we have to contain global warming to within two degrees Celsius to prevent the worst.
Let’s be clear. In Copenhagen, I would have supported an agreement by all countries on the planet in favour of measurable, verifiable, and binding targets to reduce carbon pollution.
But we must also understand that developing countries will be reluctant to move towards such binding targets.
I would have wanted Canada to be engaged in playing an important and imaginative role in helping emerging economies set differentiated yet significant targets—targets that are ultimately predictable and binding.
I would have hoped to see Canada accept our own responsibility to reduce carbon pollution, in line with other developed countries.
The idiot keeps referring to it as “carbon pollution” — it’s not a bloody pollutant, moron! And the science books have been cooked! Apparently, nobody told him. And, if elected, he’s fully prepared to bankrupt us.

We are subjects of the State. I doesn’t really matter what we think nor what the science says. The State can and will continue to steal our private property with impunity. Not a single participant in Copenhagen has provided incontrovertible support for the hypothesis of AGW. And why would they? Given the power that they weild over us we are subject to whatever whim they can dream up. The State is no longer a net benefit to the Citizen. If anything it has become the agressor and we now need protection from the State.
Iggy is just another ignorant twat who probably shouldn’t be allowed to live. He’s trying to force his religion on us. People fought and died so that the government couldn’t do that, and yet he keeps trying.
