You’re right — I didn’t even think of that. Gosh, I remember our milkman would have ice cream treats in the summer, and we’d drive our poor mother nuts begging for some.
On a related note, I like to tell my young nieces about the “old” days when we used typewriters and watched black & white TV. They have trouble imaging a world of play without video games. I tell them we had a little thing called “outside”.

Believe it or not when I was a kid the bread and milk man were still using a horse and wagon. No ice cream treats then they would have melted.
