Certainly nothing to “go postal” over… Or do we now label it “American military psychiatrist”?? In our age of cyber-technics and intricately devious networkings of information sharing, are any of our vitally sensitive personal tidbits completely shielded? I think not, and so much more the allure of the simplistically straight-up world of moose and squirrel, where the laws of nature abide in the serene absence of human insensibilities.
Certainly true — our private stuff is kinda hangin’ all out there, isn’t it.
I suppose if someone wants your personal info, it’s pretty easy to get access to in most cases.
And hey, at Moose and Squirrel we’re nothing if not simplistic and straight up!
Back in the day I hauled mail for a while. Anyone that has done that especially if they were in and out of the Dixie Road postal plant in Missasaga (I know I didn`t spell that right) will wonder why everyone that worked there is not in jail. Those good ole postal union folks stabbed each other in the back so regularly I can not understand why no one has died yet and all of the rest are not them serving time. I would have quit working and went on welfare before associating with people with the attitude they had. Thus it is no surprise to me that this passport deal happened. It fits the attitude of those postal people. They figure,… if I can see or touch it it is mine and no one better contradict me.
They are real good union people…. “ONE FOR ALL & ALL FOR ONE & I AM THE ONE”
Well I have know some great posties — one was our letter carrier from a few years back and another was a retired carrier who volunteered at the hospital. Unfortunately that union herd mentality certainly seems to corrupt some.
Of course, that attitude isn’t found just in the post office. My dad worked for more than 30 years for GM — member of the CAW — and he had some stories to tell. He had one idiot union thug threaten him, telling him to slow down because he said my dad was making the others look bad. Thankfully, my dad isn’t easily pushed around — plus he’d been there quite a few years at that point. So, he told the guy to bugger off — or something like that.
Getting back to the passport issue though…It reminds me that I need to renew mine very soon.
I wish my passport had been stolen… then I would be able to sue the union-riddled postal office to kingdom come. $100 and equifax regd ? … no way, if those people who had their info stolen are smart, they will sue the postal office.
Exactly. I don’t feel very confident that their personal info is safe.
