Mr. Mansur asks how the public and elected officials could so easily accept the ‘unsettled science’ behind the AGW theory. His answer comes from physicist C.P. Snow — the public needed to fill the void left by the rejection of religion:
The marvel of scientific achievements surrounds the public, but few comprehend how this came about. Instead there is awe — a sense of mystery increasingly hangs over science –and it is only a matter of time, given human nature, for the public to take science as authoritatively as it once took religion in the west.
But blind faith in anyone — and that includes scientists — leads to this revelation:
Human nature is flawed, power corrupts and just as corrupt individuals are found in religious institutions, so too they are found in scientific establishments.
Even though we all know about human fallibility and the corrupting nature of power, a great many people wholeheartedly embraced the now discredited science as being beyond reproach. It seemed like a religious fervor had gripped the climate alarmists. Gaia was the new deity, with the scientists as the high priests and priestesses ensuring enlightenment of the masses.
Too many people bought into the evangelical rot being proselytized by the IPCC and its supporters. And now we know their whole agenda was based not on the noble notion of saving the planet from impending doom, but on the money-driven greed of those determined to enact a global government for nothing more than a get-rich-quick scam. I guess doomsday predictions are easier for many to accept when they come from people who call themselves scientists.

Ok OK let’s put a damper on all the journalistic superfluity and diaper wetting surprise over the climategate scam. Yes, no doubt this turdball is rolling down hill fast and other interesting tid bits will fly off as it accelerates, offering more revelations into the corruption and sleaze agenda politics has infected the science community with.
But what’s the real bottom line here? Well, we have a a prime example of how the global economic/political oligarchy operates. It infiltrates and usurps movements and steers them toward its own goals – primarily creating power and economic monopolies. This is what happened to the green movement. Once an ideal to look after the environment and stop self destructive polluting, it is now nothing more than a brand label – a product – marketed and sold by a green monopoly. Climate gate exposed that the highjacking of science, ideals of the environment movement for power and profit – a global redistribution of wealth and power from sovereign nations to a global profiteering elite.
Once you accept the fact that oligopoly economics is the largest force of nature effecting mankind, you will understand why those who disrupt this fundamental force are dealt with harshly – like the dissenting climate scientists – like Howard Beal
Now – there’ll be no more of this popular admonition of “conspiracy theorists” – particularly as Climategate is rolling out as the largest conspiracy of the 21st century.
