This was actually from a few years back — a true story — and I just had to share it.
Officials speculated that the moose caught its antlers in a sagging half-inch cable, then was hoisted 50 feet in the air when the cables were subsequently tightened with a hydraulic winch.
Unfortunately the Department of Fish & Game officials decided the moose had to be put down.

I hope they shared the spoils! Moose is good eating! I love moose jerky. More meat than a squirrel.
Yikes — if I ever had to face eating a squirrel, I’d become a vegan.
