Gardeners know bulb eating is typical squirrel behavior, but I’m not talking about those kind of bulbs. The little critters are chowing down on Christmas light bulbs — all except for one color. So if you’re traveling through Fredericton, NJ NB and it looks like the whole town is a red-light district, you’ll know why.
UPDATE: As pointed out by Brian below, this story takes place in Fredericton, New Brunswick — in Canada! (Like, where my hubby was born — snort!). The original story I linked to did say New Jersey (they’ve since corrected it). I wrongly assumed there was another Fredericton out there.
This version of the story still says New Jersey (see sub-head):
Of course, if I’d followed their links to the CBC story, I would have discovered their mistake. I was tired and in a hurry and…Never mind, I just plain screwed up! Sorry about that.

A little FYI, Fredericton is in New Brunswick, Canada. I thought this blog was “Mostly Canadian, eh!”?
Yes, I know — hubby was born in Fredericton, NB. Funny thing, the original story said Frederiction, New Jersey. They’ve since updated it, but the original story is still out there elsewhere (see correction above).
I assumed that there was another Fredericton out there. Like there’s another London and another Ontario (a town in California).
I should have known it was journos getting it wrong. Of course, I could have followed their link to the CBC story — D’oh!
