I’m “cereal” — beware AGW’s ‘evil twin’ — Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha…
James Delingpole lampoons an AGW religious fanatic in his post: The scariest article you will read this year.
We all know how hard it is to say “sorry” when we’ve got something seriously wrong. Much easier, instead, to come up with a formula which says that even though some fools might perceive us to have been in error we were in fact right all along. This is why, just as they did once before when they stopped talking about “global warming” and started talking about “climate change” , climate-fear-promoters like Clover are starting to big up this deadly new threat called “acidification of the oceans.”
One of my favourite parts is this comment in response to an AGW fanatic who mixed up the acronym for the University of East Anglia:
UEA not UAE, Kaytie. One is a despotic place that subscribes to a dodgy religion, the other is a middle eastern country. ~ Hamish Redux on Dec 30th, 2009 at 6:56 pm
These fanatics are still hell-bent on their carbon tax/cap and trade get-rich-quick-off-the-backs-of-the-poor scams. So, will CO2-induced ocean acidification destroy our oceans, killing off all marine life?
The positive relationship between growth and [CO2] found here contrasts with previous studies, most of which have shown negative effects of [CO2] on marine species, particularly those that are more heavily calcified than P. ochraceus. Our findings demonstrate that increased [CO2] will not have direct negative effects on all marine invertebrates, suggesting that predictions of biotic responses to climate change should consider how different types of organisms will respond to changing climatic variables.
Well, go figure. What does nature do when faced with ever-present changes to their environment? Nature does what it always has: It adapts or dies. Survival of the fittest — the most adaptable — not necessarily the strongest or most intelligent.
What do humans do when faced with the same changes to their environment? In the past they adapted. But there’s a whole lot of stupid humans today who have been sucked into the fervent religious belief that they can control their environment. Adapting isn’t even a part of their vocabulary.

I have an idea. Let’s fund establishing a floating outpost on the gyre of marine litter in the central North Pacific Ocean where all the greenies who insist “man must fix something man did to the planet” can clean up a real problem with the environment, rather than trying to create a fake one.
This link (I know, it’s wiki, but the info reflects what is on other reputable sites) for more info:

That sounds reasonable. I can get behind that kind of environmental issue.
And the wiki link is fine with me. I know I’ve ranted about them, but I, too, use them mainly as a direction or starting point. I’ll never donate to the jerks though.
Pointing out actual fact and truth to the warmists & changeists will not work. They have their grubby hands on a huge cash cow and are not about to let go till someone leads them to a richer cow. The trick is to lead them to one that will not tax us into oblivion.
Perhaps the enviro problem outlined by Kaffir above is one we could dangle in front of them.
