Liberal “ethics” — puking all over our military. I’m so pissed off right now, I’m not likely to be very coherent. Instead here’s Ezra on the whole sordid bullshit nonsense. And Adrian had it first here: …Michael Ignatieff went on record saying he wanted to investigate “the conduct of our troops in the field.”
For real insight into our fine Canadian military, read Kaffir_Kanuck’s comment. Here’s an excerpt (emphasis mine):

And finally he gets to the ROEs and the Rules of Conduct, and they are so telling about who we Canadians are. In the ‘ghan, there are a multitude of Countries and military organizations involved, each with their own set of ROEs, and each org with their additional rules. It is a wonder anything gets done at all. But Canada manages because:
- We have a professional military (we’re not the only ones, but in this theatre, we’re the only ones who are actually using both the army and the air force in an aggressive role based on long term goals in accordance with [IAW] all laws and full oversight). Professional meaning that our members have the best training, make a career of the job, and are not conscripts.
- We plan to win, which means we’re aggressive, which means we take risks and casualties. This is why the US put some of their troops under our command…we actually get shit done.
- We’re disciplined. That is, we follow the Chain of Command and follow the rules, even if the enemy doesn’t.
And for what it’s worth, here is a second email I sent to that Liberal POS who wants to be our PM (CC’d to the PMO):
Dear Mr. Ignatieff,
You ignored my first letter sent on January 7, 2010 (see below) asking for confirmation as to whether Dosanjh and Kinsella speak on your behalf and on behalf of the Liberal Party.
It is now obvious to me that these people do speak for you. In fact, you want to investigate Canadian troops for war crimes, because in your mind, they are guilty until proven innocent. You and your despicable Liberal Party have denigrated our brave soldiers, who are giving their lives in service to their country. You will never be my Prime Minister. Real Canadians will never support someone who is so anti-Canadian, someone who besmirches the reputation of our Canadian soldiers, who are dying on behalf of all of us. Start packing your bags, Mr. Ignatieff. You will be returning to Harvard where you belong. Canada does not need people who spit on the graves of our Canadian heroes. Good riddance to you.

How can one show more revulsion towards what he thinks is already the most revolting people he has knowledge of? Like you I am so angry over this it is hard to stay coherent. I can only hope that it bites them in the ass big time when the appropriate time comes.

I am with you Natasha, all the way. It pisses me off too to see these numbskulls criticizing our soldiers who are putting their lives on the line over there in that evil-ridden country, just so these cowards can sleep safely over here.
I use to send hot emails and letters to all the Lib and Con lawmakers in Ontario, venting out my rage and I used to get an average of 0.1% response and that is the main reason why I took up blogging. At least I can now vent online for all to see.
It is truly amazing that these clowns are expecting Canadians to accept their opinion and smearing of our soldiers. What sort of a retard would actually think that the general populace of Canada would give a rat’s fart for the Taliban murderers who are blowing our soldiers and civilians, including their own, to smithereens ?

You’re right — blogging is great for that reason. I used to yell at the TV and then shout about this stuff to my hubby, and he’d always say, “What are you yellin’ at me for?” I think he’s glad I’ve got a “release” for my anger.

I can hardy wait for the collision when Canadians tire of this cynical Liberal obsessing over being in opposition and drive the final spike into this degenerate political cabal’s seat count.
I make a prediction: this seemingly “routine” Liberal attack/smear will turn out to be a final straw moment for a lot of voters. The Libranos just relegated themselves to the political bone heap.
