Take the ‘LIGHTS ON’ pledge for Earth Hour!

This Saturday, March 27 — known as Earth Hour to the eco-fanatics — do your part to fight the insane devotion to the junk science behind AGW, known today as Climate Change. C’mon, take the LIGHTS ON pledge:

So remember everyone, even if it means interrupting your game of murder in the dark, or even rampant sex with a beautiful stranger who is too embarrassed to do it with the lights on, on March 27th you must put the interests of Western Civilisation before those of petty self-interest. Keep those lights ON. Because you know what will happen if you don’t, don’t you? ManBearPig will take over the world.

But if you’re looking for that special place under the cloak of darkness for whatever purpose (star-gazing, sex, robbery), check the list of landmarks that will be participating in those other Earth Hour events:

Mount Rushmore officials said Thursday the national memorial will participate in an event this weekend that they call “the largest call for action on climate change in history.”
[...]
The initial list of landmarks taking part in this global climate event includes the Empire State Building, the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas,” Harrah’s Caesar Palace and the MGM Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

For a complete list of dark hot spots, check the WWF’s website.

There was a quick 5 second advert on Global News Calgary this morning. It showed a picture of a blue sky and said if you want to keep it this way pay more for energy. The website is http://www.paymoreforenergy.ca it takes you to somebody’s facebook page.

I’ll be high-idling my truck through a Tim Horton’s drive thru to celebrate. I can drink a lotta coffee in one hour . . …

Not only will all my lights be on, as well as yard and patio lights, but this year the dogs will be picketed on the front lawn on long leashes to greet any green androids who may walk by yelling their demands for lights out compliance. Hell, I won’t hear them any way with the stereo cranked up and the cars idling in the driveway ;-)

Always good to do our part to combat the insanity.
