Anyway, if you can stand to read his appeasement propaganda, he talks about the Muslims building it, saying “they are peace-loving people intent on marginalizing extremists inside their religion.” Here is the true intent of the “peace-loving” builders of this atrocity:

This same “peace-loving” imam turns on the taqiyya for the usual dhimmis who lap it up, but he makes it clear that Americans are to blame for the Islamic jihad waged against them. He refuses to acknowledge Hamas as a terrorist group, while his wife who performs pre-marriage counseling admits polygamy is a man’s right. Between the two of them, they’ve turned the taqiyya charm on for the right people, and dhimmis like Mayor Bloomberg along with idiot media enablers have lapped it all up. But this imam — Abdul Rauf — has made his real purpose quite clear:
In his interview on Hadiyul-Islam by Sa’da Abdul Maksoud, Abdul Rauf was asked his views on Shariah (Islamic religious law) and the Islamic state. He responded:
Throughout my discussions with contemporary Muslim theologians, it is clear an Islamic state can be established in more then just a single form or mold. It can be established through a kingdom or a democracy. The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of Shariah that are required to govern. It is known that there are sets of standards that are accepted by [Muslim] scholars to organize the relationships between government and the governed. [emphasis added]
When questioned about this, Abdul Rauf continued: “Current governments are unjust and do not follow Islamic laws.”
The taqiyya-spreading imam and his wife are bad enough, but the dhimmi appeasers like this journo enabler really tick me off more. Friedersdorf obfuscates the issue with horseshit about strip clubs. I wonder what it will take for him and his fellow appeasers to recognize the truth…
