What do you think: Is Iggy even stupider than the Boy Wonder?

Michael “Gump” Ignatieff: Stupid is as stupid does.

It was reported in the news today, that the liberals want and election to just get it over with. I don’t want one because they are expensive, and we know what the outcome will be. I love that the liberals are preening that stupid Trudeau as the heir apparent.

Deeper- ever deeper into the abyss of special interest regional rump party status they go.

I’m sure there is self loathing in the Liberal genetic pool but I’m beginning to see a suicidal instinct as well.

Over the years living in Liberal land(Windsor ON), I have had many debates and discussions with my die-hard liberal friends and co-workers. When Harper was first elected they all waited to pounce on me with how bad of a Prime Minister he was going to be. Well he has been in power for a while and barring a few mistakes has proven to be one of the best Prime Ministers this country has had in years. Then Count Iggula came along and I have had a ball teasing them about this idiot. But the point is many of my die-hard Liberal friends say that they are going to vote Conservative in the next election for the first time in thier lives. And not just because of Iggy, but they really believe Harper and the Conservatives are the best thing that has happened to this country since Diefenbaker. Hopefully this is a country wide trend.

If there are no honour killings (as in young women by male relatives), then there should be no hate crimes (as in specifically defined groups by those who hate side groups). After all, shouldn’t a rape be defined as a hate crime, given is it almost always usually perpetuated by a male who hates females?

Frances
I agree with you and I imagine most judges would also agree. The concept of a hate crime is a small act of criminal behavior, such as breaking a window in a synogoue or church, motified by hatred of these people should be treated in a different manner than a misdemeaner offence because of the motivation of the action. In the case of a rapist, he was possibly motivated by a hatred of women, but the seriousness of the action is hopefully addressed with an appropriate sentence. I say hopefully because our liberal judiciary in Canada has for to many years been very lenient of crime in general. I hope maybe this may answer your question and yes always question anything that doesn’t seem right.
