And, no, I don’t really care what consenting adults do; but I do care when a politician — like Layton — is an obvious hypocrite, and when taxpayer-funded media elites like Andrew Coyne and Kady O’Malley use the story as an opportunity to denigrate their competition — people who actually do their jobs — unlike some who proudly announce they ignored the story.

RightGirl considers this story and the whole election to be a big yawn. I beg to differ: The election is finally interesting thanks to the hilarity of this story. But the real issue is the indifference of the consensus media elites.

Both the CBC (comments fewer than the Sun and in full denial mode) and CTV (no comments allowed) are not mentioning the retired cop’s dated and numbered notes and are focusing on the allegations of “smear” job instead.
Funny, I thought it was a completely different type of job.

He is done for, I can see the opposition holding out boxes of Kleenex’s to him when he gets up to speak in the house of commons. I know I will never look at kleenex in the same way. The whole thing is hilarious to me. But I think it’s obvious the Libs were behind the leak — it does smack of desperation.
And, really, if the Harper communion wafer story (which the CBC pounced on) was such a big deal to the media elites, then this story should have, at a minimum, equal value.

It is not shocker that a naked Jack Layton would be in an Asian whore house with alleged connections to the Triads, but it is a shocker that the main stream media are trying to make excuses for it. Jack didn’t even deny it, just played the dumb guy that he didn’t know it was a whore house.
No one is buying that, but he had to use something.
I can’t stand it, I haven’t stopped laughing since the news broke about Layton naked getting a hand job at the Asian whorehouse. I just can’t imagine how any of the politicians when contacted can comment on it without splitting a gut. Twitter is making me piss my pants. No matter what happens on Monday, whenever anyone hears the name Jack Layton, they are going to start laughing. If he wins will have to refer to him as our Prime and pumped minister. It just ain’t going to work.
All joking aside this should be a very serious subject. As I said on another site. If this had happened to any conservative candidate let alone the Party Leader everyone in Canada that even knows how to spell conservative would have been boiled in oil by the MSM! I listened to the news on Sun, CTV & Global outlets last night because of the importance of this and Sun was the only ones to make it the news feature it is. CTV & Global treated it as less than a boys will be boys item. I did not listen to the CBC (Communist Broadcasting Corporation) because I know that those great broadcasters of the Liberal ideal would do the same or less. Maybe even try to blame the awful right wingers in Canada for this happening.
I really hope in the end this will resonate with most reasonable people & cost the socialists many votes. It is really really frustrating when we have to compete with different rules than the guys we are competing against.
I think we should leave the jokes till later because it appears that many are not at all bothered that a man that may become PM has this kind of background and that is not even close to being what makes him so dangerous. His policies present a far more serious problem.

OK – the jokes just write themselves. And – he SHOULD be ridiculed because, if I understand the timeline correctly, at the time when he was caught naked in a whorehouse, he was actively campaigning against permitting lap-dances!!!
But, there is a serious issue here that I have not seen addressed – and one that is worthy of an investigation.

Bob you are right this is serious, it is just that it is so hypocritical of Jack Layton and the ndp who are forever pretending they are at the forefront on protecting women and children. This is not going to go away, and if it is kept alive with black humor until it can be taken a real good look at, so be it.
It hasn’t sunk in as to what Jack Layton symbolizes by being caught naked in an Asian whore house in Toronto. When the connection between that and the sex slave industry sinks in, you are going to see anger. Jack Layton has admitted being there, and did not deny being naked. Unlike Olivia, I don’t believe it was the first nor the last time. It was just the time he got caught by the police. The Asian whore masters own him now, because it will only take withholding cocaine from one of their slaves and they will tell all. The Asian whore masters are not above extorting a politician for favours. This story is not going to go away.
Let’s see how keen Jack is going to be about forming a coaliton of losers with the liberals.
