Crazy world roundup

This post is dedicated to the eco-zealots and other assorted barking moonbats. There’s so much material to work with, it’s hard to know where to start, but I’ll just deal with a few recent notable winners.

First: Stop using words like “pets”, “wildlife”, and don’t even get me started on phrases such as “drunk as a skunk”

Animal ethicists are calling for a new vocabulary about animals, shunning words such as “pets,” “wildlife,” and “vermin” as derogatory and even suggesting “animal” is a “term of abuse.”

Common language on fauna betrays an “anthropocentric bias” and impedes an understanding of our interaction with the non-human species sharing the planet, argue the editors of the first academic journal dedicated to animal ethics in their debut issue.

Instead of “pet,” the Journal of Animal Ethics suggests “companion animal.” Rather than “wildlife,” they are to be called “free-living.” “Differentiated beings” or “non-human animals” is preferred to simply “animals.”

I thought this was a joke, but apparently not…

Next: Synthetic trees will save us! I didn’t know this, but apparently real trees have abandoned photosynthesis…

(h/t: Daily Bayonet — here and here)

And finally, the Canada cult of crazies: Feel the Crazy and they’re mobilizing…

The model is gorgeous. The bathing suit is spectacular. To my mind the concept pays tribute to the goddess…I can’t see any insult. But then I’m not Hindi.
Perhaps an over reaction from the Hindi pc crowd? You be the judge…

It seems that all the wold’s worst ideas just keep getting recycled by the loopy left. You’d think they’d get tired of putting lipstick on a pig and pimping it as this year’s model.

Again we see a new usage of the old soviet social engineering need to control the language for political purposes – makes little difference the locale or interest group, historically this is a shop worn control technique used by the wold’s worst political regimes to effect ideological micro management of the population. You are being told what to think and say. You are being told there is one right opinion and all others are politically dangerous or taboo.

The time is long past that we tell these latter day control freaks to shove their fossilized degenerate bolshy ideas and use ‘em for a rectal suppository.

“Drunk as a sknink” always mysified me. I appreciate they rhyme, but have you ever seen a drunk skunk. I can get drunker than the hardest drinking skunk on its best day. Now, “stinky as a skunk” I could understand.
