From Voice of Canada:
In a detailed statement released today CANACE Executive Director Gary McHale had this to say, in part, about the racist nature of the arrests of the Caledonia 8:
“[...] This is similar to how police in the South would arrest Black people for daring to walk down a road in a white community. Many in Canada believe we are above such racism within the police but clearly we are not. The OPP will use every illegal means to ensure non-Native people have no rights whenever Native people order the police to arrest non-Natives. Any review of the video from Dec. 3, 2011 shows how Native people repeatedly pointed out who should be arrested and how the OPP quickly followed their instructions.
“In the South the KKK had control over society and the police. The police used the force of the state to ensure Blacks did not have any rights that Whites didn’t want them to have. The police took their orders from this racist environment with the full approval of the State.
“In Ontario the McGuinty government has publicly and repeatedly approved of the racist policies that the OPP have enforced upon the residents of Haldimand County. The McGuinty government has spent over $80 million on policing and another $20+ million on paying out civil claims due to these racist policies. Ontario taxpayers have paid $100+ million to enforce racism in Haldimand – isn’t it time to stop?”

I can’t think of a dumber move by the McChimpy Kakistocrats than taking a run at CANACE head on like this. It’s like gangsters charging Elliot Ness with gangsterism. Before it was only Gary M giving them a headache though the courts, now they have the whole CANACE team poised to rip them a new one in court and in the bargain, expose the whole rotten Caledonia perversion of law and justice to the high courts. Either Dopey Dalton has a political death wish or his ham handed despotism is the result of retarded tyranny.
It’s times like this we had the right to impeach a rotten politician – fortunately Dolton is in Minority and a major scandal involving the perversion of the rule of law is the stuff od non confidence votes collapsing a bad government.
I will be sending a Christams donation to CANACE that I normally gave to local charities, because I feel the money is better spent freeing everyone from the yoke of political corruption we are under with the McGuinty Kakistocracy. I urge other civilly minded people to do the same – it will take some money to run court cases which will expose McGuinty’s racist policing policy but I figure it’s money well spent.
Excellent idea regarding Christmas donation to CANACE — See donation page here.
As soon as I get the chance I’ll do a special post on donating to CANACE. Thanks for the reminder — very worthwhile.
Many, many thanks to you, Moose, and to Bill for the continued support. All of us are on financial life support from 5 years of fighting, so we appreciate your kindness.
CANACE’s video wiz has just released ‘Caledonia 8: Arrested.’ You can be among the 1st to see it here; haven’t even had a chance to post it myself yet.

BTW, when you see me stuck going into the paddy wagon I’m saying, ‘If the van doesn’t fit, you must acquit!’ One must maintain a sense of humour when going to jail!

Bill Elder and Moose and Squirrel: Your understanding and condemnation of the ongoing race-based policing in and around DCE in Caledonia is hugely appreciated as is, I’m sure, your much needed financial support for CANACE! I know how hard Gary McHale and CANACE work and that financial support to fight in court is always needed. CANACE said at the start that they would never quit and here they are, still at it after 5 years! They will get the job done. Kudos, Moose and Squirrel!!!
Many thanks to you folks for the kind words. We’re quite hopeful these cases will proceed & I’m sure the disclosure will prove fascinating
As Mark pointed out, it’s been a long 5 year struggle to get to this point, so we’re certainly appreciative of any help you can provide.
The Caledonia Eight trial may give OJ a run for his money.
