Please someone tell me we’ve got our own John Galt out there somewhere, and he and others like him are preparing for when this progressively stupid and insane society finally collapses. It can’t be long now… I hope.

Only a rogue government acting unconstitutionally would coerce citizens into purchasing something against their will. This is the act of racketeers and displays the fact America has been run by political mobsters for over 3 decades now.
Interestingly all the armed forces in the western democracies are undergoing domestic population control training and tactics. Their indoctrination includes scenarios of civilans forming flash mobs and rioting due to political dissent, food shortages and economic fall out. They are told they will operate as occupying forces in a martial law environment. These continuity of government laws/agendas certainly aid criminal governments in maintaining power against principled constitutional rebellion.
