I was inspired to post this as a result of reading Brian Lilley’s post: “Catching wild pigs with free stuff”. Forever more, whenever I hear the phrase “lipstick on a pig”, I will think of Sandra “gimme free condoms” Fluke and this analogy.

Before seeing Lilley’s tweet linking to his post, I had been sitting, pondering how we’ve become accustomed (and dare I say quite comfortable?) with being hooked into giving up our freedoms in exchange for more “free” stuff.

What? Wait: Somebodies leaving free corn in the forest? …It’s good to see you posting again! It’s 2013 and we have the spawn of PET to ridicule and defeat.

Happy New Year!

I hope you’re re-charged and ready to blog again – I’ve missed you!

Ah, the forest! So long as the Oaks and Maples are maintaining some harmony. Can’t be too partisan in Nature… Glad you’re here, Natasha! A pleasant surprise (with BLY’s Joanne now taking a sabbatical) and a hearty Happy New Year to you and yours! With solid core support continuing for PM Harper, we have at least one valid reason for optimism in 2013. There is no amount of seasoning capable of making a contender out of Trudeau Junior. “You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.”

What a great way to start the new year – among people who actually GET IT. More credibility and FACTS here than on Communist “News” Network (CNN) or the Toronto Red Star… glad to see you active again, Natasha.
