Audits… or How to shut up #IdleNoMore supporters

Theresa Spence isn’t talking. The Attawapiskat First Nation chief is fasting and she can’t talk when she’s fasting, according to her spokesman Danny Metatawabin. Why not, I wondered? It’s not as if her mouth is full.

More:

“There is no evidence of due diligence in the use of public funds, including the use of funds for housing.”

Gulp. How do you like the taste of that fish broth?!

Me? I’m angry that Federal bureaucrats, and their Politician butt buffers, haven’t held the First Nations recipients accountable. No paperwork; no money. It’s a really simple concept.
The Bands want autonomy? Great! Do it on your own dime.
Ezra brought up the subject of the appointed auditor who was kicked out by the band, and the Judge who upheld that decision. His reasoning was that the Feds hadn’t shown any evidence that there was a problem. Well, pretty crappy performance on the part of the Feds…once again. Too many asses being covered!

The problem is when the Feds try to use oversight — bam, they’re “raaaaacists!”

Note: There’s more to follow on this… Global reporter has been escorted from the reserve by FN police. Spence ordered them to remove news crew (her own private police force?). And she ordered her own people not to talk to anyone. Can you say “dictator”?

“His reasoning was that the Feds hadn’t shown any evidence that there was a problem.” The Feds don’t need to provide evidence of any problem Mr. judge. The auditor was there to help out as best he could in the handling of Federal funds. By kicking hiom out, the band put up a huge sign saying that they were hiding something. By not demanding accountability, we are encouraging and enabling Indians to remain in the situation they have created for themselves.

Just a thought while watching the Indian marches, blockades and attacks in the parliament buildings – headdresses covered in eagle feathers everywhere. I wonder how many hundreds of eagles were butchered and slaughtered to provide those feathers??

$100M disappears into a deep dark place and no one loses their job?

I’ve been to Attawapiskat a number of years ago, and it’s a typical DIA FAILURE. Nobody doing anything remotely productive up there, and no visible evidence of any of our tax $$$ anywhere.
Hope to God Harper doesn’t cave too much further, having already agreed to meet with these morons. Also notice how Rae has lost interest in the whole sordid affair since his declared non-ambition to become our next PM?
Spence needs to lose a little weight anyway…

Heh…re the news embargo; watch how fast Chief Dumpling loses media support. Her whole reason for going to Ottawa just went nowhere. Her only avenue Left ( ;) ) is news releases. Yeh, that’ll impress folks.
