Piss off you far left-wing bunch of liars! Read: Anti-Sun TV News campaign in U.S. by Brian Lilley:

A far left-wing American lobby group funded by U.S. billionaire George Soros wants you to be scared, very scared. There might soon be more competition in the world of TV news.

A group called Avaaz.org operating out of New York City is warning their supporters that SUN TV News Channel, which has yet to launch, will bring “American-style hate media onto our airwaves.” Odd, I didn’t realize that Manhattan was part of Canada.

Proof that this outfit and campaign is being run out of New York can be seen in the e-mail they are sending to their Canadian supporters and anyone who signs the petition.

Here’s the thing: Various journalists are being automatically listed as having signed the petition when they confirm they did NOT!

Also, Kady O’Malley, Paul Wells — who else? Talk about your bogus petitions — typical lefty stunt.

And from Kory Teneycke: So, apparently I have signed the Soros/Atwood petition against Sun TV News as well. What BS.

***
Avaaz, you are a joke. You have no clue how to run an online petition. Your nonsense is meaningless.

Like Columbus before him, I’ll bet that’s the mosque Neil Armstrong saw when he landed on the moon! Maybe why he converted. ;) *

Hey, it’s in a children’s magazine published by accused terrorist Misbahuddin Ahmed and his family:

“In Recess Kids, children were informed that “Christopher Columbus was NOT the first to discover the Americas! In October of 1492, Columbus himself claimed that he saw a mosque when he landed in America…”

“The family published a children’s magazine named Recess Kids, out of their Brossard home, and interestingly enough, apprehended fellow conspirator Dr. Khurram Sher was featured in the magazine.

And hey, for the adults, there’s the AlMaghrib Institute with the complete rewriting of history with seminars like “Western Sunrise”:

Ancient maps and atlases of the Americas accurately drawn by Muslim cartographers
Genealogical and linguistic evidences linking American natives to Muslim Africans

Ah, yes, the old Muslim “fact” that’s really just abuse of America Indians and their real history.

And did you know that “One of the leading forces in the resistance to slavery was the Muslim population who by the very nature of their faith were independent and unwilling to submit to oppression.” Oh sure, they resist slavery of their own; Muslims only submit to Allah, but they’re not against enslaving non-Muslims even today. It’s sanctioned by the Quran — oops, left out that little fact, didn’t they.

Muslims worldwide are simply continuing their war on history:

“A friendly reminder that the destruction of the Buddha statues in Afghanistan was not merely a one off”

And if they can’t erase history entirely, they’ll just build over top of it here, and lie as they call it “bridge-building” here.

The lies and conflict of interest behind the long-gun registry support

by Natasha on Thursday, September 2, 2010, 7:35 am · 8 comments

Read it all from Patrick Ross:

The RCMP has different motivations for wanting to declare the long-gun registry to be successful. After all, the gun registry is currently administered by the RCMP itself. [...]

Even Holland’s favourite talking point — the support for the program by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police — has absorbed a black eye recently, as it was revealed that the organization accepted a donation of $115,000 from the CGI group of companies.

The CGI group produces the software for the gun registry.

That makes for a massive conflict of interest, and raises questions of whether or not any conditions were placed on the donation.[...]

“It is difficult to understand why the chiefs of police support the long-gun registry,” Simon Fraser University Criminologist Dr Gary Mauser once remarked. “[It] has so many errors that relying upon it puts the lives of rank-and-file police members at risk. This is a classic database problem: garbage in, gospel out. The police should know better.”

“Millions of entries are incorrect or missing,” he continued. “Most striking, less than half of all long guns in Canada are in the registry.”

“The long-gun registry does worse – it misdirects the police,” he said. [...]

“When I spoke at the Ontario Police College, one of the instructors told me privately that trusting the registry was a way to get good police officers killed.”

You really should read the whole thing. It’s all lies and conflict of interest. And Ajax-Pickering MP Mark Holland (@markhollandmp on Twitter) supports the registry, even though he’s fully aware of Dr Mauser’s remarks, which were made before the Public Safety Committee — where Mark Holland is Vice-Chair!

Also, write your MPs — especially if you have the misfortune of being stuck with an idiot Liberal MP. Contact info here.

Rest In Peace

Usually I’d have an essay touching on a subject related somehow to the CF. Not this time.

To Brian’s family, I extend my condolences.

To my Canadian readers I give you his eulogy, Canada’s 152nd Canadian Forces casualty in Afghanistan.

Meet a new threat: The copyright troll

by Natasha on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, 2:27 pm · 0 comments

Walker Morrow has the story about this blatant censorship issue over at The Propagandist:

No matter the law, no matter the regulation, there is always somebody ready to profit from it…

Borrowing a page from patent trolls, the CEO of fledgling Las Vegas-based Righthaven has begun buying out the copyrights to newspaper content for the sole purpose of suing blogs and websites that re-post those articles without permission. And he says he’s making money…

Yep, it’s not about copyright or intellectual property; it’s all about how he can get his hands on some quick and easy money by shaking people down. Read it all.

InterAcademy Council pours cold water on the IPCC Climate Change alarmism

by Natasha on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, 11:10 am · 0 comments

No whitewash this time:

InterAcademy Council Report on the IPCC Released

Key recommendations (see Chapter 5 of the report) include:

  1. Modernizing the IPCC’s management structure to include an Executive Committee, a rigorous conflict of interest* policy and limiting the term of the Chair to one term only;
  2. Strengthening the review process to ensure more effective responses to reviewer comments;
  3. Characterizing and communicating uncertainties, particularly with regard to the level-of-understanding and likelihood scales used in the IPCC reports;
  4. Developing an effective communications strategy that emphasizes transparency, rapid and thoughtful responses;
  5. Increasing transparency, including explicit documentation that a range of scientific viewpoints** has been considered;
  6. Clarifying use of unpublished and non-peer-reviewed sources;
  7. Engaging the best regional experts;
  8. Expediting approval of the Summary for Policy Makers;
  9. Reducing the growing burden on the scientific community, for example, by having shorter reports focusing on key issues or significant new developments; and
  10. Maintaining flexibility.

* Chapter 4 of the report deals extensively with the conflict-of-interest question, noting that no such policy exists for the IPCC and that questions were raised about its Chair’s (i.e., Rajendra Pachauri’s) service with some for-profit energy companies and the practice of Lead Authors reviewing their own work (p. 46.)

** Chapter 2, page 20, notes John Christy’s presentation that alternative views are not always cited in a chapter if a Lead Author disagrees with them.

Media commentary on the report:

From the National Post:

The UN climate panel should only make predictions when it has solid scientific evidence and avoid straying into policy advocacy, a group of national science academies said in a report on Monday.

From the Telegraph: IPCC told to stop lobbying and restrict role to explaining climate science.

The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) Calls On IPCC To Implement Fundamental Reforms Without Delay.

But Roy Spencer, Ph.D. (climatologist, author, former NASA scientist) says Dump the IPCC Process, It Cannot Be Fixed.

CAF Warns: Canadian Military Incites Jihad

You don’t get to condemn persons who plan acts of violence against Canadians and then blame the cause for the potential of such violence on Canadians. Well, not unless you employ the asymmetric twisted logic one is taught in Islam, that is.

Yes, you saw the title correctly. The Canadian Arab Federation, one organization in the growing chorus of home grown Jihadist deflection, has sunk to a new low by suggesting the media’s treatment of the Canadian Air Force is the litmus of professional journalistic reporting concerning crimes before the courts.

As Haroon Siddiqui, who I have chastised in the past for his dishonest Op Eds in the Toronto (Red) Star, seems to have started a theme, repeated by CArabF, in the practiced disingenuous denouncements of radicalism couched in the inevitable concern, not for the Canadian community as a whole, but solely for the Muslim community who are the inevitable true victims when it comes to Jihadists captured on our home turf.

What daft expedience could have convinced Khaled Mouammar to invoke the events surrounding the Williams case? In one deft, and rife with literary laziness, this Canadian Arab, as his title as President of such a Federation states, navigates serpentine from a skewed reality to an assumption born of Islamic supremacist arrogance:

a. concern over the arrest of Canadian men, without mentioning that these “men” are more than mere “Canadians”;

b. to murder and sex crimes linked to the Canadian Forces, because murderers in the CF are apparently afforded unbiased coverage from the media whose connection to the CF, whether past or present are hardly ever mentioned;

c. to misguided Middle East foreign policy, which can only mean this Arab’s disenchantment with our government’s support of the only democracy in the ME – Israel; and

d. to believing that Canada’s military involvement in Afghanistan creates exclusion of his community, racism and will eventually precipitate social breakdown, which is the traditional and cultural norm worded softly to cast a warning that this is the real reason Muslims will inevitably become violent (unless you’re BCF with a camera).

Repeatedly, Muslim community leaders have invoked the specter of the backlash, which as I pointed out in Dispatch 18, never seems to materialize. This script of condemnation always follows the same pattern, and sometimes, as has been threatened this time by CArabFed Khaled, the skit ends with blaming the rest of the non-Muslim community for not only phobia and hate, but for the inevitable violence that will occur by said peaceful members of the Muslim community at the very hint of reprehensible aspersions.

In this case and not very cleverly hidden within the text, is the theme that, Jihad is occurring in Canada because Canada is occupying Afghanistan. Apparently the potential for terrorism is to be vehemently condemned by the Muslim community, but in the end it’s Canada’s own fault for having its military fighting terrorism.

In a way, where Haroon plainly said so in his Op Ed, and where CArabFed Khaled alludes that any further violence in Canada by Muslims is, in a way, my fault for being here in Afghanistan, is absolutely correct! But not for the reasons these taqiyya experts would have the bleeding heart Liberals within the Canadian community believe.

Pushing aside the obvious demand for exclusion of fair application of public scrutiny of the Muslim community by Muslim leaders because they’re, well, Muslim, why would Canada’s foreign policy towards Israel, and it’s war against Islamic Jihadist terrorists in participation with the NATO coalition in Afghanistan get so upset? Is there something deep within the cultural substrata of the Islamic mind as to cause a violent reaction? The answer is a word no Muslim wants the average Canadian infidel to know:

Waqf.

There are many different cannons surrounding the meaning of Waqf, and the Shariite definition draws its governance mainly from the Hadiths. Verily, the application of Waqf is for any land conquered by Islam. This has been applied to any former lands held by Islamic empires, which is why Islamists get so uptight over Israel, cemeteries and holy sites, i.e. Mosques.

In most instances, the proceeds or the wealth of having a little piece of Dar al-Islam within Dar al-Harb, are to be held in perpitude for the Ummah, with special dispensation given to allow trespass by Holy Warriors. This means Islamic law proscribes and encourages Jihadists to wage war against Kuffars and Jews who occupy Waqf. In part, this explains much of why the Ground Zero Mosque must be constructed at the site conquered by the Muslims who flew airliners into the World Trade Center towers and why there is unanimous opposition by those involved in the project to build it in an alternate location.

Waqf also explains the inexorable policy regarding the support of our troops with their boots on the ground fighting Jihadists in Afghanistan. CArabFed Khaled can invoke an effete reference to the “many Canadians,” none of which he can be bothered to name, and notion a communal belief regarding our role in Afghanistan; but what he’s really hiding through backlash laden rhetoric speckled in unfounded speculative racial persecution, and his plaintive grouse that the press isn’t towing his soft Jihadist line, is the real reason Muslims are defaulting to killing infidels is because that’s what Islam demands for those who wish to engage in the true struggle, the true Jihad.

It’s not about reacting to a perceived offence, it’s about payback. It’s about Jihad over Waqf. In a way, it’s about what all wars have been fought for: Land.

But what about Jihad you say? Well, we don’t live in Dar al-Harb for nothin’. And the best way to turn Dar al-Harb into Dar al-Islam, forever to become Waqf, is through Jihad.

and other commentary from the war in Afghanistan.
