#Cdnpoli: A tale of two princes

First, the Prince of Pot has renounced his earlier claim that he smoked pot “a few times” with the heir to the Liberal throne. Apparently he was lying then, but not now. Really, you can trust him because he takes his reputation “very seriously”.

Emery now says he was clueless about this video (#eyeroll) and is “embarrassed about it”:

As to whether he was exaggerating then or not, he still contends he smoked pot with Justin Trudeau, who admits to meeting Emery but denies smoking pot with him. One or the other — or both — are still lying. But none of this political pandering is the issue anyway.

The real issue: Our dear Prince of Papineau admits to smoking pot “five or six times” — including once about three years ago at a dinner party.

He was MP for the Montreal riding of Papineau at the time.

While advocating for stronger pot laws in parliament, Trudeau the MP was privately breaking those laws in his own home. As I said:

I don’t care who smokes pot. I drink. So what. (Aside: I don’t drink and drive. I don’t know how many pot smokers can say the same about toking and driving.)

But wanna-be leaders who hope to tell me how to live while they practice hypocrisy are an anathema to me.
